Product Details

The Hatco Flav-R-Fresh uses controlled moisture and heat to showcase your product longer, not just for minutes, but for hours. It holds everything from hot pretzels to 15" (381mm) pizzas, croissants to bagels, and even hot dogs and meat pies. Electrical components, controls and water reservoir are located at the top for easy access. Electronic controls monitor cabinet temperature. Models with two doors are available for pass-through convenience and a variety of merchanddising racks help enhance food appeal. The Hatco Flav-R-Fresh is ideal for restaurants, pizzerias, convenience stores, concession stands.

Where this unit fits

The Flav-R-Fresh sits in the gap between a heat lamp and a full hot-food case. A lamp holds product for minutes before it dries out; this cabinet uses controlled humidity alongside heat, which is what lets it hold pretzels, pizza slices and pastry for hours instead. For a c-store running a grab-and-go programme without a kitchen behind it, that hold time is the difference between a food programme that sells through and one that throws product away.

It is a merchandiser first and a warmer second. That means placement matters as much as specification: it earns its cost sited in the customer's sight line on the way to the register, and earns very little tucked behind the coffee station.

Single or pass-through

The two-door pass-through variant lets staff load from behind while customers serve from the front. On a busy site that removes the moment where an employee has to walk around the case to restock it, which is where hot-food programmes usually lose their pace at peak. If the case is going against a wall, the single-door model is the right buy.

What to sort out before ordering

Because the controls and water reservoir sit at the top of the unit, the cabinet needs clear access above it — check that against any overhead signage or soffit before the layout is fixed. Confirm the electrical service at that position too; hot-holding equipment is a heavier draw than the merchandising fixtures around it, and c-store remodels routinely discover the circuit late. We specify and install this as part of a food service package, and can plan the case into the layout alongside the rest of the grab-and-go set.
